I first got into lifting around 2011 as a way of staving off depression. It kept me sane, and while I knew it couldn't fix me, it did give me something to fight for as I worked through everything else. Since then, I've pursued it regularly, eventually reaching the stage I'm at now.
During my life, I've competed in a few sports (softball, swimming, rowing) and tried many more (kickball, skiing, volleyball, soccer, golf, running, dancing, skating), but nothing ever made me feel like more of a BAMF than when I first managed to deadlift 100 pounds. Since then, it's been nothing but studying and tweaking my routine.
When I'm not posing in the mirror, I enjoy streaming video games all over the Twitch community.
